Connection Guide

Connect Auth0 Without Breaking the Audit Trail

Use this guide to connect Auth0 or confirm the export-based path that fits your environment. Aurora keeps source, timestamps, ownership, and collection history attached so the first run becomes reusable proof instead of one-off setup work.

First-Run Checklist

Use this sequence to connect Auth0 and make sure the first collection lands cleanly.

  1. 1
Create a dedicated Auth0 Machine-to-Machine application for the Management API.
  2. 2
Grant read-only scopes for users, clients, organizations, and logs.
  3. 3
Enter tenant_domain and client_id as config and client_secret as a secret.
  4. 4
Ensure the collector client is enabled for user-list access where Auth0 requires enabled_clients.
  5. 5
Validate the connection, then enable full and incremental sync.

Recommended Access

Aurora only asks for the minimum read access needed for collection and checks.

Access requirements depend on the collection mode and scope you choose.
